Literary Resources on the Net [http://andromeda.rutgers.edu/~jlynch/Lit/] provides many, many links to literary resources from the classical to contemporary eras, arranged by time period and genre type. The Miscellaneous section includes links to literary Web resources, library resources, reference works and links related to censorship.
BookBrowse.com [http://www.bookbrowse.com] features excerpts, summaries, book reviews and author biographies of current best sellers, including fiction and non-fiction books. Sections include paperback and hardback bestsellers, mysteries, romance, thrillers and books by general subject area.

Amazon.com [http://www.amazon.com] is the place to go on the Web to buy a book (any many other things). In addition to providing discounts, Amazon.com includes lists of books by subject area, best seller lists, book summaries, editorial and customer reviews, reading levels, and suggested/related readings based on your selections.
Barnes and Noble's [http://www.barnesandnoble.com/] on-line bookstore provides more than a place to go buy books. In addition to searching for books by subject, browse an area to locate best sellers, bargain books and professional books. This site also provides a link to bol.com, an online European bookstore. And if you want to find a Barnes and Noble bookstore close to where you are, type in a zip code to find the nearest location.

Literary Criticism
The Internet Public Library Online Literary Criticism Collection [http://www.ipl.org/ref/litcrit/] provides links to more than 2,400 critical and biographical Web sites about authors and their works that can be browsed by author, by title, or by nationality and literary period. It also provides a lengthy list of links to other sites related to literary criticism.
The Voice of The Shuttle: Literary Theory Page [http://vos.ucsb.edu/shuttle/theory.html] is great for in-depth research about literary-related topics. Maintained by an English professor, this site provides links to hundreds of resources, broken into general theory resources, classical, enlightenment and romantic, nineteenth century, early to mid-20th century and contemporary.
