For the Telling Sweet Tales programs. Young authors wrote their own books and experienced bakers teamed with children for baking and oral histories.
Families Read: $1,500
Programs and materials to encourage families to read-a-loud together. To promote a life-long love of reading.
I*Spy My Hometown: $ 655
Children learned about local historic sites. They photographed, researched and provided local tours. There is a website and map of the places. We had historic programs for adults and children.
Howard & Bush Automation: $8,500+
From the Friends: $1,000
For the purchase of updated computer equipment for the Library and a laptop computer to be used in the field.
Senator Bruno $5,000
Legislative grant for our building campaign.
From The Friends: $2,020
For staffing our bookmobiles, to purchase large print books, video cassettes, additional insurance and a video cassette stand.

Program Participation in 2002

The Brunswick Community Library held 110 programs with 3,459 people in attendance in 2002. Although the number of programs remained the same as last year, there was over a 34% increase in attendance. The list below highlights the Library programs of 2002.
