To obtain new and updated non-fiction juvenile material to help with homework projects.

Babies Need Books & Libraries $1,643
To introduce new parents to reading to their infants and taking their children to the library. To obtain board books, an infant changing station and children's subscriptions. In addition to a Red Cross Infant Child Saver Class.

Outreach Grant -Senior Bookmobile $1000+
From The Friends: $ 500
To provide bookmobile service to three Senior Citizen groups and to purchase large print books.

Arts Center of the Capital District $900+
From The Friends: $500
To provide musical programs for people of all ages and to begin a compact disc collection.

Story Circle of the Capital District $180
To provide a workshop for adults to practice storytelling and to share this art with others in the community.




Program Participation in 2000

The Brunswick Community Library held 105 programs with over 2,500 people in attendance in 2000. This is almost a 20% increase in the number of programs over last year. Our programs are more diverse and appeal to a larger audience. We now have monthly YA book group meetings. The list below highlights the Library programs of 2000.
