New Computer Workshop Schedule

 

On the second Tuesday of every month, from 1:30—2:30, come and learn how you can get the most out of your laptop, notebook or tablet. If you can, bring your device with you; we will have computers available if you are unable to bring your own.

October 9th-Facebook
Learn about timeline and how to post messages and photos onto your account while maintaining your privacy.
November 13th-Online Shopping
Get some holiday shopping done online.  We will look at Amazon, EBay, Craigslist, Etsy and others.  Learn about site to store shipping and PayPal.
December 11th-Google
Google is a leading search engine that helps you locate information on the Internet. In this course, you will learn about some of the other useful and fun features of Google, including news, maps, videos, calendars and health and financial information.

January 8th-EReaders
Did you get a new E-Reader for the Holidays? Want to learn how to download Library books to your new device?  This class will discuss how  to access the library’s online catalog of downloadable materials and give general tips on using your eReader.

Feb. 12-What is an App? 
We will talk about the various software choices for mobile devices including smartphones, IPad, and eReaders.  We will explore popular apps for books, music, health, news, and games.
